Project Overview
Creating an app for knitting community in San Francisco, The project will define one particular need and creating a system to fulfill it.
  • Create a new brand guideline
  • Research for target audience
  • Create a starter kit for knitting community
  • A set of imagery for advertising
Why do I do this?
I have experienced knitting myself and had straggle reading the pattern and finding help from another people. I want to create a platform for knitter to reach out each other. I want to connect the community and let them share their skills with each other.
Problem
Knitter is hard to find each other in their own community. A lot of beginner struggle in knitting.
Solution

I have created a solution that will help the knitting community to find help and create a platform for them to form events and free classes.

Goals
  1. Easy access pattern through app or QR code
  2. Design a online community platform for knitter (chat, classes, questions)
  3. Buy knitting supply through the app
Target Research

To better understand my target audience, I did some research and found out that 71% of knitter and crocheters are female. The age of my target audience will be fairly even across the board. I will have my target audience set from 18 to 55+.

I have found out that 77% of knitter search and learn their skill through youtube. Younger generation will search online and learn for themselves.
